I had a Brit tell me how good the NHS was. I don’t know how people get so disconnected from reality.
My Canadian daughter-in-law’s parents think their ‘’free’’ health care system is just the bees knees. Funny thing though. A few years back her step-father needed a heart by pass. he was told he’d have to wait six months to get on a waiting list and once on the list he’d ave to wait another full year to get the surgery. They beat down here as fast as heck and got it done in three weeks.
No frame of reference. Yeah, they know the NHS has it flaws and problems, but they were born and raised under their system for so long, its the only system they really know. They’re convinced its worse elsewhere outside the borders of their country.
