Thanks for the link. I found it ironic that the article at the link you posted had a link to “related” video entitled: “Video: New Haven line help on the way - Overcrowding is a problem on the New Haven Metro-North line but there is some relief on the horizon.” I guess if enough passengers electrocute themselves it will reduce crowding on the trains. In the meantime, prayers for the man’s family.
“A Boston Red Sox fan died after he climbed outside of a moving train and was electrocuted by 12,000 bolts on his way home from a game on Wednesday.”
Ouch. That had to hurt more than getting electrocuted by 12,000 volts.
The conductor prevented a ground rule double.
I see what you did there!
Or, the fact that regardless of what happened and how, it’s initially investigated like a crime, therefore, it is considered a crime scene. Much the same way that suicides undergo a rather thorough investigation by homicide detectives.
Sweet!
Those millennials, never failing to entertain.
“Lets go surfing, Pow!
Everybody’s learning, Pow!
Come on a surfacution with me!”
Crispy or regular?
Absolutely
if you ride a train you’re just a piece of meat, like on a plane. nothing you can do but hold your nose and hope you get out without too much suffering.
I won’t join in the mocking. He did something stupid and paid with his life. RIP.
12,000 Bolts Those are going to make a LOT of noise when they hit.
Too bad kid.
If I had a buck for every stupid, dangerous effing thing I did at your age, I’d be living in Monaco and driving a Rolls Royce.
Some escape death, others get caught.
RIP.
A perfect example of shocking stupidity!
“I wont join in the mocking. He did something stupid and paid with his life. RIP.”
Doug as I get older and older I see kids to day get more dumber and dumber. I keep thinking that this is my imagination. It’s not is it? They really are this stupid aren’t they?
Really when in college we did a lot of stupid things but getting on top of a train after the conductor had just said it had 12000 volts on it, and considering I attending an engineering school, we would have known not to do that! We would have just gone back to our dorm and re-wired their circuits in the building and installed circuit breakers in our rooms so we did not have to walk downstairs every time one blew! (yea this really happened) Electrical engineers are scary when they are bored.
Kids today do stuff we never would had done in a 1000 years
Morgana, you’re a morgana (to arthur ?), but also an electrical engineer? blessings, in any event, for your many posts
Being hit with 12,000 “bolts” would be bad enough, but then to be electrocuted as well!
