Synopsis: I’m sick of this story. I’ve barely covered it, don’t like it, think it has already set many, many horrible precedents for both public discourse in general as well as the rules of Senate procedure.
But the left doesn’t care about that.
No, if they get to destroy the entire United States and all it stands for, their mission will have been accomplished.
Now, I’m not a fan of Senator Mitch McConnell, however, he laid out the situation on the floor of the U.S. Senate today in precise and detailed fashion.
McConnell starts at 2:46 and goes on for 12 minutes taking the Democrats apart point by point.

Feinstein and/or staff have violated Senate Rule 29(5), which entail expulsion as a penalty. A Special Council seems in-order to conduct an investigation into Senator Feinstein and staff.

He addressed “Mr. President” several times. Interesting that Vice President Pence was in the session today as President of the Senate (the VP’s only constitutional duty). He is probably there in case a vote was called and he needed to be present to break a tie.

Then why did I just hear on Hannity’s program that McConnell said that no matter what happens on Thursday, there will be a vote within “the next few weeks”?
Karen Monahan said the cover-up by the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party in Minnesota for the Democrat Party Deputy Chair concluded two weeks ago. Keith Ellison claims the investigation is still open, thus no results to report until concluded. She implies white-wash of charges made against Ellison to provide Democrats cover until elections completed.
The best thing about this floor speech is that he gives Ford a tiny opportunity to paint herself as a victim of Democrat operatives. It might be the only way for her to escape with a shred of her reputation intact.
McConnell is keeping the Senate in session well into October so all those Democrats running for re-election can’t go home and campaign. LMAO.

I'm thinking the best they can get is to delay Kavanaugh's confirmation, not stop it. Which means we still win.
