NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) Declaring Bill Cosby doesnt deserve a free pass because of his advanced age, prosecutors on Monday asked a judge to sentence the comedian to five to 10 years in prison for drugging and sexually assaulting a woman, while the defense argued that he is too old and helpless to do time behind bars.
What does an 81-year-old man do in prison? defense attorney Joseph Green asked on Day 1 of the sentencing hearing for Cosby, who is legally blind and dependent on others. How does he fight off the people who are trying to extort him, or walk to the mess hall?

Why does the prosecutor want to go to prison for 5 to 10 years?
Did he mess the case up somehow?

"...Bill Cosby in prison..."
Democrats will likely seek to structure a deal with sentencing so that Bill Cosby and Brett Kavanaugh are cellmates.

The worse part of this whole affair is that Cosby championed virtues and honorable living. He even had his own cottage industry marketing this aspect of himself through TV engagements and public speeches. It really stings that someone like him had such a dark side. There was a time when I myself admired his efforts for good.

It was only after his son was murdered and Cosby began speaking out against drugs and violence in the black community that suddenly all these women came out of the woodwork. That sort of thing seems to be a trend.

Hypocrisy is the tribute Vice pays to Virtue, or something like that.

He was also a staunch defender in the race war going on when he recommended that the blacks clean up their act before they go after other races. He was right. Look at Chicago. He did. I give him credit for that.

He was imho the best comedian of the 1960s and 70s. Saw him live a couple of times. Amazingly good. The only comedy records I ever owned were his. His popular Cosby tv show in the 1980s didnt click for me even though I watched it occasionally. After that I didnt follow him much until this sordid tragic fall. His whole life and career is now destroyed in retrospect. Self inflicted and deserved.
