Yes. Show me how it was done.

Yes. Show me how it was done.

Scientists from China, the USA and Canada combined new high-resolution radiometric dating of seven closely spaced layers of volcanic material from South China's Penglaitan section with detailed biostratigraphy and geochemical analyses.

So now you have a rough idea of what it would be like to attempt a scientific discussion with an actual fungus.

“about 252 million years ago.” Exactly? So they really don’t know and it is pure speculation.

The first apes to stand up were 6 million years ago, give or take. Homo Sapiens came into existence 250 thousand years ago. They left Africa 70,000 years ago. Neanderthals died out 40,000 years ago. The first farming happened about 8000 years ago. Rome was founded in 814 BC. Christ was born around zero AD. America was discovered by Columbus in 1652, 20,000 years after the Asians came to America. The industrial revolution in England began around 1760. While The United States of America was formed in 1776.

SO!... How is this our fault?

Do you know this is true, or are you accepting it on blind faith? Were you part of anything you cited?

You must be thinking of all the little fishies that ‘drowned’ on air when they were left flopping around on the mountain peaks after the waters receded.

LOL. “I” before “E” except after “C”. Disproven by science.

😂

White men took unfair advantage of the absence of carnivorous dinosaurs to create capitalism, that's how. :)

I'm scientifically literate. Do you not accept any scientific endeavor of which you were not a part?

I presume you're not a geologist, physicist, or biologist (do correct me if I'm wrong). Are you skeptical of continental drift, general relativity, and molecular genetics as well?

Exactly. Every single member of 90% of the millions of species are cast upon dry land. All the trillions of corals and sponges of those species were systematically torn from the sea bed and thrust above the shoreline. Not a single one was allowed to cling to a submerged rock.

No trilobite was allowed to hide in a seafloor crevice.

No member of countless varieties of swimming fishes was able to be washed back into the sea.

Sorta amazing doncha think?

You misunderstand what the meaning of the phrase ‘pure speculation’ is. This is the exact opposite.

We do precision guesswork.

The temperature increased AFTER the extinction event. Just as CO2 increases AFTER temperatures rise. REALLY important to get the chronology right once the climate alarmists will no doubt pick up on this study.

How would a massive flood kill 90% of sea creatures?

#1. Great photograph of sediment layering. Now it’s what marks each layer that is significant as well as any fossil finds in the layers themselves.

I don’t think that a massive flood would kill 90% of the sea creatures. Although a massive flood (I’m assuming we are talking about “The Flood”) would dilute the saltwater some degree to a certain depth - so perhaps there would be some die off.

Of course the Biblical flood wouldn’t have happened 420 million years ago.

Link is to some wonderful shots of layering due to the numerous Ice Age floods that hit Eastern Washington. Done with a professional drone camera, with some simple explanations. Obviously nothing to do with this article - just some pretty geology shots.

because it was a rock flood aka lava whose thickness is measured by the mile
