We all know people (I do, anyway) that are adamant in their socialist politics and cannot be reasoned with and every ONE of them is a conduit and mouthpiece to people that THEY hang with.
Networking was the word of the '70's and it is alive and well today.
It's a muslims make babies vs, white Conservatives don't sort of thing.
I'd like to see every educational intitution do nothing but teach the basics, read'n, writ'n n' 'rithmetic ..... history, science and political science in high school so that the high school graduate that wants to turn a wrench can go out there speaking comprehensive English and THINKING like an American.
No band, no football (in school) and etc.
THOSE things should be organized through communities, not schools.
College should be for higher education in the professions, not liberal arts.
America's problems begin in pre-school (beginning with the parent that thinks their child "needs" it or is too lazy to take the time to teach their own child.
I disagree. A solid background in the humanities and sciences provides the student with good personal values, wisdom as opposed to specialized knowledge, and the ability to make wise choices in life and to think for himself as opposed to joining the mob. Unfortunately, you can't find that sort of a curriculum at most colleges and universities today.
