Some times, when my little one won’t come up the stairs, I rattle a bag of potato chips or the plastic snack jar. It usually gets him going.

My aunt and uncle once were stationed at the SAC base in Minot, North Dakota. Minot is famous for its bitterly cold winter weather.

One winter morning the doorbell rang, my aunt answered the door, but there was no one there.

This didn’t happen just once. It started happening a lot. My aunt thought it must be kids playing a prank but she never could catch them.

One day a neighbor was outside and shouted to her “Hey, how did you teach your cat to push the doorbell?”

Animals are much smarter than people think.

In college I used to feed squirrels with walnuts, and they got so used to it, that when they saw me, they came over, jumped on me, and came to sit on my shoulder, waiting to be fed.
