I must be one of the few for which a tumeric supplement is harmful.

I took the supplement for about a week and then started to develop extreme headaches, stomach and intestinal pain, and explosive .. and I do not use the term "explosive" lightly .. diarrhea. I stopped taking the supplement and it took three days to get it out of my system and for the negative effects to wear off ...

Hello, FRiend. Quite possibly what you describe may have been a herxheimer reaction. That is, it may not have been the tumeric itself causing the symptoms. Tumeric has antimicrobial properties. You may have experienced a die-off of harmful fungi, bacteria, protozoa or viruses polluting your system and causing the symptoms. I had a similar reaction to Lugol's Iodide, but kept at it and the symptoms dissipated in about four week's time, for what it is worth. Best wishes!
