A new study has found more than 250 people have died in pursuit of a perfect selfie.
The study published by the Journal of Family Medicine and Primary Care journal (and republished by the National Library of Medicine in the US) looks into how many of us social media obsessed plebs are dying for the ‘gram. Led by Dr. Agam Bansal at the India Institute of Medical Sciences, the study analyzed news articles from October 2011 to November 2017 and found there have been 259 reported deaths—dubbed selficides in one part of the article—resulting from that never-ending thirst for Instagram likes.

Thousands of beers have been held prior to the selfie. Idiots are nothing new.
Used to happen a lot more. Then the lawyers made everyone put warning labels on everything such as a warning not to swallow a fish hook or that peanut butter contains peanuts.

I keep encouraging all the liberals I know to continuously take selfies in dangerous situation. So far, it’s not working very well, they keep showing up at work.
I remember reading a story a few months back about a brother and sister going out to one of the pools at Yellowstone. The bro went off path to get closer to the pool so he could take a pic. There was an overhang on the pool, could not support his weight, broke and he dropped in. His sister watched him disintegrate in about 60 seconds. (It was a 200+ degree vat of caustic soda)
They will be unable now to pass on their faulty natures and nurtures to future generations. We ought to celebrate that fact.
Respect the wild.
Very few if any of those folks would have put themselves in those positions without a camera.
Surprised it isn’t more. Some people can’t even walk a few feet without checking their phone.
