I’m not looking to purchase a keyboard.
Well for those with poor vision like me it is a blessing to have my computer use the 70 inch model as a monitor. I do not need or want a smart TV but that is about all they make. I think Apple should just make their TV as an iPad and use their Track Pad as the interface. I have used a TV as a monitor for about five years, started with 55 inch now up to 70 inch, getting old sucks {:<).
If you figure it out, let me know. Same here.
Where might that be?
There should be a button on your remote to open/start the Smart Hub.
The icon for the internet should be any basic one. Safari, IE, Firefox, Google. Whoever Vizio paired with.
Page 53 is where you access your Apps. I've looked and looked, and I do not see a web browser app listed. You may have to go to the app store and download a browser.
That’s why we haven’t used it in years. Today, I want to connect WatchTvEverywhere to the tv. It is much more comfortable watching on the couch than at my desk sitting on a cooler as a chair.
Yes, I’ve already read through that manual a couple of times but don’t remember seeing anything like you said. Don’t know anything about a text block but then I’m a tech dummy.
Well, I’m 73, and don’t have the best eyesight in the world, but I made my living in front of a computer for years, and I am most comfortable with a keyboard, and a mouse.
I have and Ipad, but I don’t like it much, I prefer having a mouse/keyboard.
I took two years of typing in high school, and therefore am a trained “touch” typist, and I hate those “on-screen” keyboards, as well as the “mushy” keyboards now found on laptops. I need some “travel” and “click” to my keys.
I haven’t watched broadcast television in almost two years, and find that I’m happier for it.
Good luck with your 70-inch “monitor”.

ALWAYS get the insurance for a visio tv. We had one that did the same thing, and the insurance paid us cash to buy a new one.
It’s just a pain in the butt to have to do it. No one gave us a hard time, it is just a pain in the butt
This is my remote except the top amazon button is a xumo button on mine. No Smart Hub button. However, I do remember going into the menu for Smart Hub but don't know where it disappeared to.
For example, if there is a “google search” icon, you would click it, once the google search page shows up, you move the cursor on it and click the place you’d type text, and a virtual keyboard should pop up.
The internet app opens and navigation is done using the remote. Sort of like doing a search on Netflix. Same cockamamey on screen keyboard.
I can’t see that too well, but...
Smart Hub access should be from either the:
Menu
Netflix
or the other two buttons on either side of Netflix.
Look at the back side of your remote for the TV, too.
If you've saved any money on your auto insurance, maybe you oughta buy a nice chair instead of that cooler ?!
;-)
Nope.
Put your mouse's cursor on the pic, hold down the right button while scrolling the wheel back/forth and the pic should zoom in/out for you.
