ah yes , that’s right. We are supposed to call Columbus Day, Indigenous People’s Day now.

Weren’t there street protests last year, when they had Columbus Day events, and the radical protesters showed up and caused trouble? Was that last year, or the year before?

Are they going to do something substantive like turn over city property to Indians? Vacate the city?

So glad I left that Godforsaken town.

I remember once, Rochester was pretty conservative.

Nah, it's just an empty gesture. That's what Democrats and Lefties do in their home towns.

I am so sick of this stuff. Let Columbus have his day, for Pete’s sake. AND quit calling me “indigenous or native!”

I am Choctaw . . . as in “American Indian.”

Sigh......

Those labeled indigenous or Native American, are not.

They immigrated here, just like everyone else.

Only they did it earlier than everyone else.

There are no true indigenous humans to the Americas..

Look up the Windover site near titusville fl. Seems that ancient early americans (5000-7000 yrs ago) weren’t as homogenous as thought. https://www.ancient-origins.net/history-ancient-traditions/windover-bog-bodies-among-greatest-archeological-discoveries-ever-021007

Not to worry.

In a few decades someone will become offended by the use of the word indigenous and it will be changed.

The Left doesn’t care about indigenous people in Europe or the UK.

It should be called the “Last decent weekend of the season” Day.

It is really no wonder many companies no longer give you the day off.

The “indineous” people either came and conquered the previous civilization or “colonized” pristine land. Both acts are sins in todays brain dead logic environment.
