My husband, Rand Paul, and our family have suffered intimidation and threats
CNN ^ | October 3, 2018 | Kelley Paul

An open letter to Senator Cory Booker:

It's nine o'clock at night, and as I watch out the window, a sheriff's car slowly drives past my home. I am grateful that they have offered to do extra patrols, as someone just posted our home address, and Rand's cell number, on the internet -- all part of a broader effort to intimidate and threaten Republican members of Congress and their families. I now keep a loaded gun by my bed. Our security systems have had to be expanded. I have never felt this way in my life.
In the last 18 months, our family has experienced violence and threats of violence at a horrifying level. I will never forget the morning of the shooting at the congressional baseball practice, the pure relief and gratitude that flooded me when I realized that Rand was okay.

He was not okay last November, when a violent and unstable man attacked him from behind while he was working in our yard, breaking six ribs and leaving him with lung damage and multiple bouts of pneumonia. Kentucky's secretary of state, Alison Lundergan Grimes, recently joked about it in a speech. MSNBC commentator Kasie Hunt laughingly said on air that Rand's assault was one of her "favorite stories." Cher, Bette Midler, and others have lauded his attacker on Twitter. I hope that these women never have to watch someone they love struggle to move or even breathe for months on end.

Earlier this week, Rand was besieged in the airport by activists "getting up in his face," as you, Senator Booker, encouraged them to do a few months ago.

I seriously don't understand why the two women who verbally assaulted Senator Flake in an elevator at his place of work, weren't detained and investigated. Anyone who enabled them to be there (with information or access) committed a serious crime. That was domestic terrorism. If the attackers were so inclined, they could've killed him!

It's just plain weird and dangerous that they weren't arrested. Is security in DC buildings part of the coup?

If Kavanaugh isn't confirmed, we've entered the phase of mob rule, because it works.

I don't think I'm exaggerating. How safe will cities be if this is allowed to continue?

How can everyday democrat citizens put up with this?

First they stand with creepy porn lawyers, whores and strippers - now they’re watching thugs attack families who’s only ‘crime’ is being Republican?

Democrat paid ‘rent a thug’ protesters are horrible people but what’s with the silence from regular citizens who happen to be liberals? Are they all morphing into tacky little lowlifes?

Yes, you are right. I called that out that the women that assaulted Sen. Flake at the elevator should be held accountable. The day after I posted, Sen. Flake’s office mentioned of a possible pressing of charges.

And although I have no admiration for Sen. Flake, this could have been any member of Congress. Assault cannot be tolerated no matter what party, what ideology, what views, what positions.

A few days later the women who assaulted Sen. Flake were reported later to not be victims but paid harassers from Soros groups. (and it was an assault, they held him against his will, the badgered and yelled at him, they would not let him go).

As long as these hardcore leftists get away with it, it will not stop. People need to call in law enforcement and insist that charges be made. The violators must be held to account. As soon as these violators see they risk getting a criminal record, the violence will slow to near zero.

The propoganda from the controlled deep-state MSM, the Facebooks and the Googles will always paint the Left as moral actors, exaggerate opponents' defects, and ignore their own. Its the best propoganda system ever invented by humans - because many Americans don't even consider they are being propagandized.

Thank you. I remember the assaulter had no remorse when interviewed later.

And the attack was not minor, it was reported that Se. Paul could have died from his injuries.

30 days seems light.

"And although I have no admiration for Sen. Flake, this could have been any member of Congress."

I read that this was staged - someone with authority got these women on that elevator - that was supposed to be a secure elevator for Senators only.

We’re on the same page. What I do not understand is why they weren’t arrested by security, detained, and thoroughly investigated. It shouldn’t be up to Senator Flake to request that. How do we know it wasn’t a trial run to see if it could be possible to take out a US Senator in his place of work?

Scalise nearly died, Rand Paul was at risk of death, Cruz harassed and run out of a restaurant. Now Flake held against his will and verbally assaulted.

There is more.

Judge soon to be Justice Kavanaugh and all Justices are now under 24/7 security.

The Capitol Hill Police should be out in masse throughout Congress and congressional office buildings to warn any hooligans that a jail is waiting for them.

Dem supporters seek ‘revenge’..and it’s their desire for power their leaders lost that ‘motivates’ their vengeful behavior.....it’s never about justice as they claim... it’s clearly revenge..or as Hillary and her crew prefer calling it....resist. They do love to ‘color’ their behavior.

Generally people who are more vengeful tend to be those who are motivated by power, by authority and by the desire for status which they of course lost by Trumps Victory in the election. Including all the hopeful appointees, interns etc etc. who were waiting in the wings, as well as the elites who were guaranteed high places.

So since they have ‘face’ to save rather than do their own dirty work on the streets they enlist/hire vigilantee groups, students and Soros dial up folks to orchestrate their protests and whatever else.

Don't forget Scalia's death, now that we know what the coup is capable of.

I have a crazy hypothesis. The 'pubs on the Judiciary Committee sure had a different tone today. Besides that, they didn't hold back from blaming Feinstein for handling the material in a very poor way. My crazy thought....I'm wondering if they found out who brought the accuser to a gathering from the Country Club. There were a whole lot of bits and pieces that seemed to be coming together.

There are no two people in the world more full of revenge and hatred than Hillary Clinton and George Soros. Both have spent decades manipulating, deceiving and orchestrating every avenue of taking over power completely in this country,... and have positioned organizations, groups and strategic players and activists to secure that for them once Hillary was in.

What they never factored in was the true Spirit of the American People nor that all it would take was the right man for the hour to raise them up.

Even when they saw the crowds they denied the obvious.....and still do today. They just can’t get past the American people said NO to them and that they wanted THEIR country back.

It’s playing out still every day.....
