President Trump has pointed out the NFL's sliminess - but you consider NFL support to be your act of defiance?

You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. The Constitution I defended with my blood (literally) guarantees your rights as a free American to believe any silly thing you want - exactly as it protects my right to tell you that you’re screwed up.

And you are: every nickel we spend, every commercial for televised game, every NFL ticket we buy is more money in the pockets of the Leftist team owners and the beef-brains who are disrespecting our flag and Anthem.

Those conservatives who are trying (with our President) to bankrupt the corrupt and unfaithful NFL to get them to correct their unpatriotic behavior are undercut by people like you who support the NFL.

Think of this as strike against their policies - and you and the other NFL boosters are the strike breakers - the “scabs”.

i own it, but not what you are selling... government bankrupting corrupt and unfaithful nfl... sounds fascist to me... business must toe the government line... i do not buy tickets, or purchase merchandise, or whatever is advertised, or the beer... i just watch it because i enjoy the game... always have. falling in lockstep with the government may not suit me, but you go right ahead and hitch your wagon to the big government train... you will soon see, that America is not its government, or its flag, it’s its people...

No one is forcing you to open these threads, scroll down, click “Reply”, and post a statement that you’re not watching, for 3 years now.

Used to be, we’d mind out own business, and if something didn’t directly effect us, we’d keep out mouths shut about it.

So, when it comes on at home, during a baseball game or hockey game since you don’t watch football, do you stand, take off your hat, and place your hand over your heart?

If you read my personal page, then you'd know that I have lots and lost of time standing at attention for the National Anthem, in uniform, sword in right hand. Decades of it.

I have also actually shed blood and damn near died for this country and our flag.

We have a conservative boycott going to get the NFL back into the patriotism business.

While I do not recall just when I first posted my photo shopped version of her supporting my Aggies, I went to my images and found I copied her in her 'Bama gear to my external hard drive (must have been 3 computers ago also) on April 9, 2010.

I am a Navy veteran, and a disabled on at that. Hell, even when I was a wee lad, in the early 70’s, I stood at attention and saluted the flag when the national anthem was on at midnight to shut the TV down for the night. I’ve done it all my life.

YOU have a conservative boycott.

I’m doing my part - when I go to a game (extremely rare, even though I have season tickets and use capitalism to earn a little extra money), I have a poster that specifically points out that they should stand for the flag and anthem, and kneel for the cross.

Now, you go on with your self. We understand how you feel, so don’t bother coming back in these threads to express your outrage. You’re just like the hysterical women in the elevator with the senator.

Sound and fury, signifying nothing.

I'm sure that you didn't read my personal page - why would you? After all, you were in the navy..and disabled too.

I am happy that you have stood for the National Anthem. Proud of you.

But you are perfectly aware that NFL players continue to kneel or sit or hide out in the locker room rather than show respect for our National Anthem - all because they insist that African-Americans are being killed unjustly by police officers. The owners won't do anything about it and you and your fellow NFL-watchers won't do anything about it, so I guess it's non-issue - right?

If that's the limit of your conservatism, then that's it.

President Trump has made it clear enough that the NFL leadership and the League show take a stand - and so have most Freepers.

It's too bad that you have an opportunity to stand up for the Anthem and the flag and respect for your country but won't. Watching other men exercise on a field means too much to you.
