I'm shocked at Peterson's naivety. It's not complex. Kavanaugh is dealing with bullies who are among the most powerful in the country. Stepping down will never "clear" his name. They will never admit they are/were wrong. And anyone Trump puts up, who is conservative, will be deemed divisive.
This Canadian psych professor... is elitist, pompous, and should know his place before ‘advising’ someone (Kavanaugh) who, by Mr. Peterson’s own hoity toity standards, is superior and out-accomplishes him in every way...whether academically or otherwise.
Mr. Peterson also doesn’t know what it means be be dragged through the mud in battle of epic culture-shifting scale —to be a David against Goliath for your convictions the way Kavanaugh has been. Is Peterson a Christian or an agnostic? I would not be surprised if the latter.
Times like these show where the lines between people really fall.

From what I know, he has a rather large, young audience here in the USA and he just screwed the pooch, any way you care to look at it. Either they all get angry with him, or they naively fall for this bovine excrement and THAT would be horrific!
Jordan Peterson is pretty sharp. Not saying he is right about everything, but he is very intelligent. Not sure why or if he really said this though.

Does not sound like Peterson. If he really seriously said that, I will have to reconsider how I feel about him.
Hard to believe this is Peterson, a person that has suffered from being branded as “alt right” from the left.
If he did make this remark I attribute it to... I’m not sure what? Possibly that being with Brett Weinstien (a loser of the left) his liberal side, his liberal leaning, just took control of him. Peterson believes that we are not always in control and psychic forces can dominate us. You can see this when on Bill Maher’s show he inadvertently laughed at a stupid joke about Trump — he was unconsciously following Maher. Peterson is an avowed liberal who has been given a break by conservatives but, in someways, I don’t know how much he appreciates that. He is slammed in the liberal press, but I think that is the challenge or standard of success for him: being accepted in the liberal press. Psychologically you want what you don’t have, i.e., Peterson wants liberal recognition.
He has also made some glowing remarks about a Democrat video and it just shows how little he knows what the Democratic party has become. Again, it is some liberal demon in him or some pull from his nostalgic liberal past (NDP) that he wants to visit or revisit.
I hope he comes to his senses...
