Tyrannosauridae is a taxonomic family of theropods. These dinosaurs from the Upper Cretaceous have been found only in North America
and Asia. They lived in the later part of the period, 88 to 65 million years ago.

Some believe that the upsizing to T rex size is the result of Darwinian selection resulting from global warming and the increase in the relative size of prey.

The evolutionary upsizing differential has not been precisely determined. More study and possibly a second specimen of Dynamoterror dynastes will be required before a firm calculation for the differential can be made.
