I reread my commentary and it seems a bit extreme in itself, which is ironic. Perhaps I, myself, overreact, as the dillwads at CNN probably really think they are only just trying to affect electoral politics.... in fact, I’m sure of it. At least, most of the minions and contributors. But still, how is it that they don’t find a way to denounce the recent calls for violence that are not quite overt because they are dressed in carefully chosen words that imply social discomfort, when in fact everyone on both sides know they are fomenting hate, regardless of whether it’s people frothing at the mouth in restaurants and elevators or whether it’s batons on broken glass and bullied senior citizen paraplegics.
I believe that we’d still be hearing the name James Hodgkinson, daily, if he were shooting at a Democrat softball game, and they’d be attributing the violence to Trump, or Fox News, or Rush Limbaugh. But since his target was republicans, not only will they not own it as the result of their deeply troubling angsty rants, but they have blackballed any acknowledgement of it having occurred.... not just on the airwaves. I am quite sure it’s taboo to mention on the press floor and conference rooms as well.
