I am a football fan, and a veteran. Last year when I saw a game from the UK, and when they kneeled for the US anthem but stood for the UK anthem, I was done. Now it might not bother some people, and that’s ok, but it bothered me. Players kneeling for our anthem in a FOREIGN country, a country in which people sacrificed limb and life for the very freedom and the symbol of that freedom disgust me. I do not care one damn bit what your issues are, there are places and times. I’m done.
Little did we realize we were despised by the players and a laughing stock to the networks and advertisers for sitting in front of the TV for 3 hours to watch 9 minutes of football.
It might have worked but the kneelers caused a lot of us frogs to jump out of the pot.
