P.S. Supporting Ukraine’s historic identity, sovereignty, and independence (notably its ecclesial independence within Orthodoxy) is not the same as praising the current Ukrainian president and government, but believing the country’s long term future overall will be better off unshackled from Moscow’s chains.
Sadly, the War in Eastern Ukraine rages on. But the geo-spiritual forces are moving in the right direction.
The Great Patriotic War Against Russian Imperialism does indeed wear on but at least the Ukrainians have a friend in President Trump. I appreciated the President mentioning that the US has sent the Ukrainians a bunch of American anti-tank missiles and I only hope that the Russians appreciate this gift as well!
Russia needs to get out of Ukraine and that includes Crimea.
