At least 33 people have been infected with the deadly Ebola virus in the past week, 24 of which have since passed away, the health ministry of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) said.

According to the ministry, the cases were discovered between October 8 and October 14.

So far, 211 confirmed and probable cases of Ebola have been reported since early July, when the latest outbreak of the disease started, the World Health Organization (WHO) has said.

Of those, 138 people have died from the highly deadly hemorrhagic fever.

The latest Ebola outbreak started in July and could go on for another three or four months, the WHO has said. In recent weeks, the rate of new Ebola cases has more than doubled after rebel violence in northeastern DRC caused response efforts to be briefly suspended, health officials said earlier this week.

Most of the new cases have been in Beni, a city of several hundred thousand people, where experts had to suspend Ebola containment efforts for days after a deadly rebel attack killed 21.

This outbreak was deep in the Jungle, there wasn’t even a road to the place, so they built a road to this village to get the medical folks in there and lo’ and behold Ebola broke out in the larger city they left from. Dumb-asses, they set it loose, it would have gone nowhere had they just left it alone

Exactly why Africa needs to be nuked, after the Animals are removed to a safe place. Nuke it to a cinder, and let it regrow wo/ all those diseases being exported around the world.

Ebola is a weapon with many just thrilled over it’s potential. Africa is where all bio weaponry goes thru beta testing.

I think it was a fruit bat, which bit the first human, but the disease is spread by humans now. The bats stay to get nuked, as does everything/everyone w/ ebola. No worry; I’ll push the buttons.

Because they went and dug up oldies of folks that had died of Ebola so they could practice their tribal rituals

Almost certainly not correct. More likely, 33 new cases were diagnosed, and 24 previously diagnosed cases died.

Should send all the sick to Sweden—they will take them because of their skin color! That or Germany. Ebola will kill off all the liberals.

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Yeah. That's almost as stupid as importing active cases to the USofA for treatment, or letting Ebola nurse Kaci Hickox go out for pizza while theoretically under quarantine...
