They’ll probably change the rules after this.

I think it may be time to buy a ticket or 50

I think a FReepathon Lotto would be a great idea - would be quick and fun!

Another approach for the IRS could be a Lotto. No tax avoiders - just millions of willing participants.

“$1.6 Billion” = about $570 Million in lump-sum payout after Federal taxes.

(Some states - like CA - don’t tax lottery winnings.)

Still, a lot of fun/good/dangerous/evil can be had for $570,000,000...

If I win we won’t have to worry about FReepathons for awhile. Guess I’ll send my home health aide to buy a ticket.

Would a bank allow you to deposit a half billion dollars into your checking account? The least they could do would be to take you out to lunch........

Lotteries typically return one of eight dollars of receipts as winnings. I’d just like to say thanks to all those who bought tickets for paying my fair share of taxes.

I recall reading that those with annual incomes of $10K or less spend an average of six percent of their total budget on lottery tickets.

I've *just* found a way to hack into the computer that picks the number. So as of next Tuesday I'll be a billionaire.

And just so you Freepers know...I'm gonna give it all to Rat Party Headquarters!

Just saw something the other day that I’ve seen before...a huge percentage of big lottery winners wind up in bankruptcy court within a few years of winning.

Just shows you how crazy the odds are — with millions of combinations played, still no winner.

That means Mega Millions is now the biggest lottery jackpot in world history--even bigger than the US$1.586 billion Powerball jackpot from a January 2016.

I wouldn't be surprised if it reaches 1.8 to 1.9 billion by the time of Tuesday's draw.

It would be funny if the ticket dispensers accidentally printed out a million or so winning tickets. I pray that the winner is someone with a level head who will do good with it.

I believe in socialism for the socialist sector. The lottery winnings should be equally distributed to all, whether they play or not, including illegal aliens (and probably those still in transit to the U.S., who should not be penalized simply a quirk of the calendar).

I got my ticket for free.

The Lottery gave away 900 free tickets Thursday at a grocery store near my office.

Didn’t even have to wait in line.

I once worked out the math on the Powerball
No matter how high the payout, or how many tickets bought
The BEST ROI was negative 2-3%
And usual was around negative 50%

Lottery’s are a tax on people with poor math skills
