Yes! You’re right! I still remember audiences warning Bruce Willis against Alan Rickman in Die Hard! They were patently afraid of the great, late Mr. Rickman, lol!

To be frank, these naive audiences always charmed me. They are very much a throw-back to the 19th century theater audiences I’ve read about.
