Easiest Venison in the world ( that is super good)
Sear venison steaks/chops in olive oil in cast iron pan
salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle with garlic powder
Completely Cover with V-8 juice and simmer until fork tender.
The V-8 will thicken like gravy about the time it is done, and you can use it like gravy on your potatoes if you want.
It takes about 1 1/2 hours and will be the tenderest venison you have ever eaten, with NO hint of gamey flavor.
Salt the venison steaks. Sauté diced onions in olive oil. Add venison steaks. Add balsamic vinegar. Then black pepper.
Cant get enough.
For ground venison:
Sauté one diced onion and a cup or two of diced carrots in olive oil.
Add 1-2 lbs ground venison, break into small bits, keep cooking on medium heat.
Add: a cup or two of red wine, a cup or two beef broth, bring to boil, then lower heat. Throw in a few raisins, a few green olives, a tablespoon or two of tomato paste. Cook on low for 20-30 minutes. Serve with rice or potatoes.
I cant get enough of this one either.
Well it’s not venison, but my favorite recipe for elk roasts. Just filled my tag with a nice cow last week.
Little water in the crock pot, stick of butter, package of Aus Juis and a roast. Pour a can of jalapenos with juice and cook till the meat is falling apart tender..yummmm!!!
