Her apology is pathetic. She didn’t don blackface; she was just talking about it. There’s nothing inherently offensive about blackface, but given the history, yeah, it’s probably not advisable. But not unmentionable.

She also just said it was okay if for a role.

Tropic Thunder has Roveet Downey Jr. in blackface.

Kelly stood up for Kavanaugh so they had the knives out for her.

This incident is a good example, of how political correctness gets carried to an extreme. Yes there is a history of blackface, and blackface is not performed anymore. But we get to where we can’t even discuss it.

They are desperate to get rid of her and her expense... She played NBC for a big payday and it never paid out for them.... I agree talking about blackface is hardly a major crime, but there are definitely those at the Peacock who want her gone and will invent any excuse to make it happen.

She claims it was ok to do this when she was growing up

I’m old enough to be her mother. Unless you were in a gated all white community black face was not ok .....unless you were a democrat

#4: "She didn’t don blackface; she was just talking about it. There’s nothing inherently offensive about blackface"

How is someone supposed to dress up like a black person unless they don blackface? Duh.

Riddle me this Batman: Why is it not offensive to allow Negroes to portray Alexander Hamilton and the founding fathers, yet whites are not allowed the same freedom to portray Negroes?.

A black Alexander Hamilton is mockery. That was the whole point of "Hamilton" to mock and delegitimize our foundations.

I beg to differ.
