A Canadian rapper has fallen to his death after walking along the wing of a Cessna plane as part of a music video shoot in Vernon, British Columbia.

Jon James McMurray, 34, walked to the edge of the wing, causing the aircraft to spiral downwards out of control.

McMurray failed to open his parachute because he held on to the plane for too long, his manager said. He died on impact in the accident on Saturday.

"He had trained intensively for this stunt", his manager added.

The pilot was reportedly able to regain control and land the plane safely.

I’m scratching “walk out on the wing of a flying aircraft” off my bucket list.

I never had a bucket list, but if I did this one was checked of in my warrior youth. See my post 35.

“As God is my witness, I thought rappers could fly.”

I have never believed that, but I thought they should try!

Well you would know better than I, for sure, as I have never jumped from a plane that was flying along as designed. 8>)

I took my chances in life but skydiving was not one of them. Though I did think about doing it but couldn't convince others at work to give it a try. I had to be in my 30's at that time.

I was younger and fearless (and maybe even foolish) then. Being fearless was part of the warrior mentality. Also single at the time. Having a family changes your perspective a little about always trying to expand the envelope. :)

True he made an impact, but his career cratered at the end

Indeed. He decided to become a bouncer instead.

He was fly?

Then how did he die? I want to know why if the rapper was fly.

“As God is my witness, I thought rappers could fly.”

If you go into any big city on a windy day, not unusual to see many wrappers flying about.

Even Michigan Avenue in Chiraq, full of them!

Back around 1980 I was putting in fence posts adjacent to an old lady’s house who invited me in for some ice tea (hot as hell out).

Her walls were covered with pictures of her as a good looking young woman wing walking, walking around the wall at the observation deck of the empire state building, standing on top of speeding cars and a bunch of other situations.

She was an old grandmother living in a little house out in the country. Stuck with me for all these years that you can’t judge a person entirely based on their current looks or lifestyle.
