WHY?? State law is more than capable of handling this. It appears he killed two men in cold blood. If proven in court he'll likely get the death penalty.

Perp is 51. Victims were 69 and 67. Very strange. There is no indication in the story that they knew each other, but given the ages of all involved, I’d not be surprised if there was some prior incident.

The AP has been waiting a long time to write this headline. If guilty, the guy needs to spend a long, long time in jail. But the AP needs to stop stoking racial tensions with sensational headlines like “White Kills Black”.

Ed Harrell was quoted by the Courier Journal as saying he was waiting on his wife in the parking lot when he heard gunshots and grabbed his revolver. As he crouched down, he said he saw the gunman walk “nonchalantly” by with a gun by his side. He said he called out to ask what was going on, and the gunman replied: “Don’t shoot me. I won’t shoot you. Whites don’t shoot whites.”Uh, what happened next? The AP is really trying to minimize the armed white guy that confronted the killer.
Fox News said, "An unnamed armed citizen in the parking lot exchanged gunfire with the suspect; neither was struck. The suspect fled the scene and was apprehended nearby, police said." I guess AP didn't want to tell us that.
