If you want see them even more nuts, ask them if Trump has extermination camps, committed genocide, set up slave labor camps, performed cruel medical experiments or made the government the central religion. To most people on the left, if Hitler is bad and they don't like Trump, Trump then equals Hitler. They do this because they are either ignorant of history or willfully ignorant of history.
Good for you. That was my grandparents’ generation, and they were plentiful when I was growing up. All of them are gone now, sadly, but their teachings are not - I’m bringing up my kids with those and the knowledge of history. They are not, and will never be, part of Generation Snowflake. They already understand, and will better appreciate as time passes, what made this country and the nature of those who would tear it down (whether purposefully out of evil intent, or accidentally out of sheer stupidity).
