In her interview on Joe Rogan's show, Roseanne said she didn't want the show cancelled because 200 people (crew along with the cast) needed to earn a living, but of course, DNC-run ABC didn't care about the show or those 200, they just wanted to slam Roseanne down, hard.

What did the ABC brain trust think was going to happen? If they had cancelled the show Roseanne could have shopped it around to another network. Maybe move it to Fox and have a funny intro about moving and why Sara Gilbert's character is now tall and blond. But by keeping and renaming it they kept it away from Roseanne, even if it cost them millions. Political incorrectness must be punished no matter what the financial cost to the punisher.

I don’t even understand why Metcalf and Goodman signed on for this. Metcalf was nominated for an Oscar this year and has two Tony awards the last two years. Goodman has had a good career going too. This is a huge step backwards for actors of their calibre.

Gilbert’s performance was really bad in the episodes this year with Roseanne. She used to have good comic timing, but she’s lost it completely. Now she plays Darlene like a very bitter person.

We hear and read often about what the opioid epidemic is doing to the working class people of this country...then a major network blithely kills-off perhaps the most successful TV working class female character of all time via an opioid overdose as punishment for a racially charged remark. Am I the only person stunned by the insensitivity of this?
