Any man with 1/2 a brain will be deeply humbled by this.

How much of the universe do we know? Not one billionth of one percent.

Meanwhile men of supposed intelligence in science keep telling us they are sure of things.........while very year thousands of science’s assumptions - are proven WRONG!

I heard a sermon by a wise man years ago where he stated that the religious leaders of the dark ages who knew it all but were wrong about 99% of what they knew - have switched places with todays scientists.

I found that to be profound truth........

"Expanding into what?"

The standard model of the Big Bang says the universe doesn't have an outside, and is expanding relative to itself only. But there are other theories (hypotheses really), such as "brane cosmology" claiming there are higher dimensions embedding our own universe. But since we are only able to see a finite part of our universe limited by the visible horizon which is expanding away at c, it could be any size. Brian Greene wrote in "The Fabric of the Cosmos" that if inflation theory is correct, the actual universe is at least 1040 times larger than the visual one (the visual one being about 93 billion light years across). Maybe even 10100 times larger or more.

It’s not expanding into anything, space itself is expanding.

Quantum is right, Dark is wrong.

Quantum = we observe things that don’t make sense but are repeatable.
It tells us via prima facia evidence our theories of the universe are wrong, and we must admit it.

Dark = We observe an effect, but cannot see the cause, so we make up a placeholder to smooth over the fact that our theories are wrong. We continue to stick our head in the sand.

I think that it’s the media that does a bad job of portraying science. Physicists, cosmologists, and astronomers, I think are, on average, very honest about it and have disagreements with each other.

Astronomers think that the expansion of the universe is regulated by both the force of gravity, and a mysterious dark energy.

Astronomers used to believe that the earth was flat, and that the sun revolved around it.

The more things change, the more they remain the same.

Astronomers think who’s on first
Man will never have all the answers about space things are always changing to many things they don’t know what exists...........

The germ will gets us before we get answers.

Way back, when rocks were soft and I was studying Engineering, we called such constants the “finaglefactor.” The F-factor was defined as what ever you had to add to, subtract from, multiply by, or divide by to make the value derived from the theoretical formula agree with the value you got by measuring the actual physical factors.

I can see why they want to call it dark energy. Like me,I bet a lot of folks are in the dark on this.

We've known for about 20 years that the expansion of our universe is accelerating; every day, our cosmos grows bigger and bigger, doing so faster and faster.

That should help the traffic.

The scientists themselves are in the dark on this and other fundamental physical phenomenon.
