“In other words, it’s the QAnon site link that is compromised not FreeRepublic.”

I’m not tech-savvy enough to know what this indicates, but a couple of days ago I got a ransomware email containing a hacked password, and the password was my FR password (it’s since been changed). It’s not a password I used anywhere else. My ISP’s tech person said hackers usually obtain these from “less secure” sites.

If some knows a password you’ve used and you have not disclised it, your computer is probably infected.

Interesting. Those scams have been going around a lot lately. The source of the passwords seemed to be an old myspace or Adobe hack. Are you sure the password was used exclusively here?
