So when will Gab be up and running?
Don't know, I'm just an interested messenger who saw this on my twitter feed. I guess right now their testing it, no word on when they bring up the site.

digital book burning... ......like the national socialists, like the bolsheviks, like Mao's cultural revolution, and Pol Pot in Cambodia, and Castro in Cuba, and other marxist-authoritarian "republics" everywhere, the initial generation of brainwashed-from-birth students have grown up and been let loose on the host society to re-educate and sift the herd. This is cultural war.
"All of this has happened before and will happen again..and again...and again..."
The question is, when will we evolve out of such behavior?
To: McGruff
I was just checking on Gab updates and thought I’d check wiki and their left wing lies. I didn’t think they could be so bad.

I tried to send an email to my brother with that link - https://epik.com/blog/why-epik-welcomed-gab-com.html and COX won’t send it. I tried their tech help, and DM’d them on twitter. So far no luck. They keep telling me I’m sending SPAM. Wow! He can’t send that link to me either.
Even the Internet providers are trying to stop them.

They have a basis for suing Big Tech for not just violations of free speech but anti-trust.
Google downgraded them in search results and censored them as “hate speech” ... but it privilege Twitter because of their data mining agreement. In short, Google says they discriminated against Gab.ai in the name of tolerance, but it is really collusion of two big tech companies to try to kill Twitter’s rival.

I occasionally use Wikipedia for historical reference material to lightly familiarize myself with the topic; anything else is complete stupidity.

That is really weird behavior. I hope the explanation is simple and not a coordinated effort of some sort.

Freedom is the desire of all of us. Freedom of communication needs to be fought for. Im all for any of that. Odious or violent speech might need some moderation, but we need freedom of speech or we wont have any other kind of freedom.

You can use Wikipedia to see what movies as actor has been in, how ultrasound reports are coded, math terms, sports team facts, etc. If there is a chance to insert leftist mindthink into the subject, dont even bother.

I agree, leftist mindthink is standard fare at Wikipedia; I am quite confident in my ability to discern its nature on most occasions so in historical reference it is a minimal risk to me.

If going after web hosting companies ultimately fails to block the websites the dark forces don’t like, I wonder if next they will turn to the organizations which control backbone infrastructure and seek to accomplish the same thing by selectively blocking packets.

Gab is cool. From the owner: “No-platform us all you want. Ban us all you want. Smear us all you want. You cant stop an idea.” Myspace was cool, Facebook was fun for a few months, HiFive was cool, Plurk was tough to learn, MeWe is fake cool, Twitter is dependent on the President, and Freetalk24.com is healthy. It is a struggle to donate more time to exercise and less time to the internet.

The end has always justified the means with these types of people. I fully expect they will go after Torba, Monster et. al legally and personally if that's what it takes. Expect the censorship marxists to go after their family members as well.
Recall what the British did to the signers of the Declaration of Independence.
It seems as if history is repeating itself...again.

They've had this page up for a week now.
Q) How long does it take to move files and a database to another server?
A) Half a day to two days max
They may just be past tense

Don’t know. You’d have to ask a computer whiz for that one. Saw Torba in an infowars interview and he said it would be up before voting day. There was a post/thread someone said it may be down ten days to two weeks. Threats on he and his family may also be taking a serious toll?

I think Gab lost their CTO due to threats. Law enforcement asked for additional assistance. That will slow things down a bit.

Wikipedia is a free online encyclopedia, created and edited by volunteers around the world.. And I personally find to be highly suspect and often times downright untruthful regarding politics and specially so when it comes to conservative political news and views. I rarely give the site much credence regarding such subjects.
