By the way Hollowell Parkway is the renamed Bankhead Highway. Bankhead Highway had such a bad reputation for “high crime area” they renamed it as a marketing/PR move.

Correct, that's called a monotube scope - no objective lens "bell" on the front end. Lots of them on the market now, but they've been increasingly common for AR-pattern rifles for a decade or so. That looks like an FN SCAR that he's got it mounted on - not an inexpensive piece of junk.

That “grenade launcher” under the barrel could be a 37mm flare launcher, which is still legal. Mounted too far forward in my opinion. Also, looking at the mag, it appears that this is a SCAR-17 (.308).
