Funny how on this same board, maybe even 3 years ago, there were MANY who thought manufacturing jobs were gone for good and well should be.
There were many promoters of “free trade”
Only it wasn’t free.
It costs us a hell of a lot of money and a hell of a lot of jobs.
So a handful could get rich paying pennies for labor overseas and then selling the product back to us.
Spit.
It’s a miracle this thought process has changed for the better. This was a 20 year or more false belief, mainly because it yielded unfair deals. I used to believe in Free Trade (theoretically it makes sense) until around 2011-2012 I began to look at it differently.
