Looks like another National Championship for UCF.

Teams ranked third through twenty fifth are just playing for who gets what share of the TV money pot. There are only two teams competing for the championship.

It's going to end up being Alabama versus Clemson again. Interestingly, the two times Alabama played Clemson in the Championship game, BOTH games were actually exciting to watch, with the game decided only in the last moments.

It’s a 4 team playoff now (this is the 4th year). We’re no longer in the BCS days. Don’t worry, they’ll change it again soon if Bama keeps winning. :)

Sorry, this is the 5th year of the 4-team playoff.

“Looks like another National Championship for UCF.”
I watched UCF play Temple — the only team UCF has played with a winning record. Both teams looked like junior high school teams, making tons of mistakes.

“There are only two teams competing for the championship.”

Looks to me like the only competition is to see who finishes 2nd to Alabama.

And I’m not an Alabama fan.

THE Ohio Stink University is #10, the ones that were trashed by Purdue? The one that barely got by Nebraska last week at home? Those guys?

Damned thing is rigged.

Can Clemson do any better than LSU?

The past 3 natty's have been nail biters, including the last one (Bama and Georgia going into overtime). They're a lot more exciting than many of the BCS games.

Will the current top 4 stay in the top 4? I dunno. Michigan has to play Ohio State and Bama has to play Georgia. I'm a lifelong Bama fan and I gotta admit Georgia's Kirby Smart has probably been scheming a defense against Bama ever since Tua surprised everyone in last year's natty. All the other games should be sure wins for the top 4 (i.e. Michigan should handle Northwestern in the Big 10 championship, Clemson and Notre Dame should win out).

Depends which Clemson team shows up. My guess is, yes. But that’s only to make it seem competitive. Alabama is consistent, and really good.

As for the rest. I really don’t think Notre Dame could be competitive with Clemson or LSU.

The first two teams are good enough to play against a couple pro teams and win a few.. all the rest are boobtube fillers

I’m a Wazzu fan, but they are playing with house money. Maybe a top 15 team, but not #8. They don’t have enough size on the lines or team speed to take on the very best teams.

Leach is an offensive genius, and he brought in a defensive genius as defensive coordinator this year. Game against Cal was tough be cause their new defensive coordinator was the former head coach of Eastern Washington University, a big power in the FCS which plays Wazzu on a regular basis.

Leach and the new defensive coordinator are perfect matches for Wazzu. I doubt that Leach would leave for a bigger school. The administration doesn’t make demands on his time and leaves him alone. That wouldn’t happen at other schools.
