'Oumuamua is an odd one, that's for sure. Nothing ever like it seen before. I remember immediately thinking when this object was first announced a bit over a year ago, "derelict spacecraft?" because of both it's dimensions and mass characteristics. Many folks then commented on Arthur C. Clarke's book, "Rendezvous with Rama".

Maybe it was a derelict. Or a probe. Or maybe it was just a weird chunk of flotsam. We'll likely never know.
