Based on two clips I’ve seen (less than 3 minutes each)...it’s not funny. It’s like some soap opera with dramatic actors stepping through some practiced script.

When you go and look at the original series (at least at the very beginning)...it was really a poke at a working-class family in the burbs, who were barely making it and some of their daily lives mirrored regular people in an amusing way. I don’t see that with the Conner Show...it’s just a soap opera with ‘wooden’ actors.

Let's face it, Roseanne is a bunch of unfunny characters whining about their problems and Roseanne ripping them for it and then goofing around with John Goodman. She's the straw that stirred the comedy drink in that show. Without her it was 100% predictable that all you would be left with was unfunny characters complaining about their problems.
