This. I lived in Seattle for 46 years. Two weeks before the 2008 election I bought a 12 acre farm in rural KY with a new house on it because we had two democrats running for president.

In 2011 we moved in, and in 2013 bought the adjacent 20 acres which gave us two streams.

Only about 10% of the reason for doing this was for “SHTF”. It’s now 50%. And it would be 80% except we love it here so much that that is half the reason we’re still here.

But anyone familiar with human nature and history knows this road has just about reached its end. It will not be pretty.

I did the same as you, except in AL, and 10 years too late. I may have missed the window to avoid the coming unpleasantness. God be with us all.
