I would like to say to all "hot heads" (how we call them here) on both side that conventional war between Russia and NATO will be a complete disaster for everyone, even without nukes. Both sides have lots of modern armaments, technics, aircrafts, artillery to turn boys and girls on the other side in a pieces of roasted meat. This is not gonna be the same as Afghanistan, Iraq, Chechnya or even Ukraine. Mobilisation, massive casualties, invalids, orphans, refugees, famine. This is what we all will see. Hope this never happen and we continue our battles in ArmA3, CoD, etc.
A word to the ones who think women cant fight. You know, a bullet doesnt care who pulled a trigger - a man or a woman. If it hits you, you'll really dont care. On the other side, that nice young woman from the video charging self-propelled artillery unit in the battle can die like any other man coughing blood and collecting her guts because of counter-battery fire or an air strike, or specops.
And about that sank frigate. Yeah, it's a lol, but this is RL. At war things like that happens 100 times more often. Random ship, people mistakes, random bullet, random mine, random missile, random shell. War is full of random events who can kill you. It is silly to make any conclusion on the navy entirely after this incident.
Cheers to my northern neighbors from Finland, Norway and Sweden. Hope to never see you in the scope, but to see everyone as tourists and trade partners.
Complete waste of American taxpayer dollars. Let the “European Army” defend Europe.
I did notice the young lady helping to load the big gun as the Russian dude commented. And I agree with his remarks regarding war.
It’s so easy to sit back and watch videos like this or a Hollywood war movie and think how great it would be to be there. However once you’ve become a war veteran and look back, it’s not all John Wayne and glory.
Regarding the video, women and persons of color were limited, very limited.

Good observation. And the same goes for a so-called Civil War II. Some folks here - and elsewhere - have a CW II breezy, bring-it-on attitude. That attitude usually fades after the casualties start piling up.

Why is the USA on the hook to defend Europe?
They’re not my nation and they can defend themselves, the cheapskates.
Europe is incapable of defending itself for the foreseeable future - they have boxed themselves into a no-win socialist state where the lion’s share of money goes for freebies. They are a military basket case with little incentive to rearm, remembering where that led them the last two times.
So if we are not there, then Russia will be. Is that preferable?

Yeah, Russia is about to invade across the tundra into northern Norway. That’s why their ground forces are 10% of the 1980s.
Thought for the day. The entire Russian ground force is about 350,000. Meanwhile last count I heard was about two million moslems and africans have poured into Europe. They’ve been raping, shooting, stealing, bombing, running over people in cars and trucks.
But muh... Russia.
The difference? You can sell billions of dollars of jets, ships, tanks, etc if the enemy is Russia. If the enemy is islam, you simply need to make good decisions and face reality.

My logic nailed you perfectly. You just don’t want to admit the Euroweenies wants us to pay for their defense while they experiment with socialism and islam.
We also have far too many Military Industrial Complex types here in America that want to spend our tax monies to keep themselves employed fighting a nonexistent enemy called Russia.

I see, as a typical liberal you think your beliefs are everyone else’s beliefs and you speak for everyone. I served too and I don’t think you served your country, you served Europe.
As a taxpayer, I receive no benefit from forces in Europe. Europe gets their defense for free and paid by the American taxpayers. You have been brainwashed into thinking you were serving your country when you were serving theirs.
Just remember, sunshine, you were spending American taxpayer monies over there while Europe was spending their own money on socialism.
