While these books are teaching kidson the occult, the popularity of the Harry Potter series has greatly served to recruit millions of young kids into witchcraft & satanism. Thus J.R. Rowling has become a multimillionaire for propagating satanism via her books.

And as for the number being as 1.5 million, that is a joke as the real figure is more closely to 30 million or more if you add up every form of evils including the cults & false churches. That is not to say that everyone who is sincerely seeking God and ends up in a false church is a witch, but they are trapped in evil without their knowledge. I am reffering to those who definitely know that they are rejected the one true God and salvation via Jesus Christ.

In almost every major city, if you were to do a search for Psychics you will find hundreds of them and they are to be found on almost every highway in the city. I count those people as witches as well. BTW did you know that to merely enter the business place of one of these people will automatically bring curses on your life? From God's point of view, you are seeking after other gods instead of Him which brings the condemnation.

Harry Potter and the like are nothing but harmless fantasy. Very profitable fantasy, mind you. As for so-called “psychics”, I have nothing but derision for them, and sympathy for those gullible enough to be taken in by their flim-flam.

I’m a big fan of James Randi and others like him who spend their time debunking such hokum.

Magic is wonderful for children. Why, we have a ‘fairy garden’ right outside. What a sad world if kids could not indulge in magic and make believe. That said, if you wish to raise your kids very soberly and base everything on reality only and eschew Santa Claus and the like, I’m all for that as well. Freedom of religion.
