Negan has been imprisoned for 7 to 8 years.

I know, I haven't been able to absorb the time lapse and back and forth that's been going on.

With that being said, as long as he's alive, I wan't him dead.........

I agree. Even if the Rick Grimes character was still
around there would have been no reason to give him
a life sentence. In real life a life sentence can
be imposed because there is the presumption that there
is a strong and powerful enough society to enforce the
sentence. But even Rick Grimes could never be sure
that he and/ or others would be around to enforce a
life sentence. Yes, Negan should be dead.

I have to believe Nagan will be out of jail soon.

No way every episode this season he will just sit in jail.
