You just reminded me of one of two of my more memorable regrets, selling my green '68 GTO convertible and later, not going into hock to buy a certified factory-rebuilt '55 300SL gullwing from a private seller for $25,000 in the late 70's. Now filed under "eating one's cake and having it to".
