To: Red Badger

What bothers me is that apparently if you watch the episodes now (via DVD or on a nostalgia channel), chances are that the small bits of popular rock songs of the time that played on the original cuts of the episodes are now covered up by musical noise as copyright lawyers apparently demanded this. I am a bit sensitive about this as it is nice to watch TV shows and movies done in their originally produced formats and not chopped up for timing and ad space issues or even censored (for PC or the aforementioned reasons).

I heard the music mafia wanted too big a royalty/fee for use of the clips, at least on tv series DVDs.

Perhaps producers started taking future DVD opportunities into account when creating shows/epis since then.

Watched the old ‘F-Troop’ series a few years back on some cable channel.

The opening theme song has been deleted and replaced with and instrumental version, because the term ‘redskins’ is in it.................
