Yeah, it is the amps that makes for the weight.
With a series of simple circuits, you can easily get 40,000 volts out of a one ounce battery.

But, I’d imagine it would take a lot of amps to keep an aircraft in flight for even a few moments.

Where is John Galt’s motor when you really need it?
