I would agree. My point was our argument should center on what the definition is of 'Natural Born Citizen'. The argument should be that the founders original intent was that citizenship rested on the parent's citizenship and not the place where you are born. This is also why John McCain was a natural born citizen even though he was born in the Panama Canal Zone.

The difficult part of this argument and one that has to go into some detail is the 14th amendment. It says that all persons born or naturalized in the United States are citizens. So it makes a distinction between a naturalized citizen and one who is natural born (born here). However, we know from the writings at the time that this was specifically applying to the former freed slaves (the born part). For instance, the 14th amendment did not grant citizenship to native Americans. That came later. It's a very complex subject but yes I agree with you. A natural born citizen is one who is born of parents who are American.

The definition of the natural born as someone whose parents are citizens was violated by Barack Obama, whose stated father was a Kenyan, and over a century before by Chester Arthur, whose father was Irish. Ted Cruz, born in Canada of a Cuban father, was also ineligible, and so is Kamala Harris. But liberals. and many Republicans unfortunately, bend the rules. Furthermore. the precedent was set with Arthur and Obama.

Damn that Chester Arthur!! I saw a show on him quite a while back. His detractors at the time not only brought up his fathers citizenship but apparently he was born in Vermont or so he said. There was a question as to that as well, some say he was born on the Canadian side, not in Vermont. Apparently where he was born is very close to the border.

It’s really very simple.

If you can be something else, you are not naturally an American.

Foreign national parents bequeath foreign citizenship(s) to their children.

Anyone born with multiple nationalities is not naturally an American.

Natural born citizens have ONE nationality.
That’s why they are NATURALLY citizens.
They cannot possibly be anything else.

Neither of Harris' parents were We the People, so their Posterity is not a Natural Born Citizen.

Wasn’t the judge hearing Pres. Arthur’s case appointed by him earlier in Arthur’s term? That was the ruling the dropped the ‘s’ from ‘parents’.

As I recall no one was ever able to prove the case against Arthur as he went to considerable efforts to destroy all the evidence.
I do not know if it ever made it to court.
