I’ve heard of this. It’s a put on, right? They don’t seriously, literally, believe this do they?

People still believe commiescumism is the bestest thing since sliced bread. So, there’s no plumbing the depths of the Well of Stupidity.
No it’s real. I love this sentence: People not so sure the Earth is round have come from around the globe to Denver this week to discuss their beliefs at the Flat Earth International Conference
That reporter has a sure sense of humor.
There are flat-earthers right here on FR. They show up on stories about NASA, yelling Fake!
I always thought they were like the Pastafarians; but apparently some people actually believe this - or have convinced themselves they do.
Go to YouTube and do a search for Flat Earth. There are quite literally thousands...maybe tens of thousands of video about it. Crazy stuff but they are absolutely serious. I watched a few one day trying to catch the joke. There is NO JOKE.
They do. A Radio Show I listen to, discusses these guys at length.
You should look up the one who tried to launch himself high enough to see the curvature of the earth. Used his Winnebago as a launch pad. It didn't end well.

The seriously, literally believe this ... and some of them inhabit this forum.
You might find it helpful to think of these people as being in the same vein as Bronies, or Furries. That is, people saying and doing silly things for silly reasons.
Or perhaps the more apt description is it’s all a big joke, and yes, it is a put-on, to most of them. At the same time, it is also a lure to the gullible. As a result, you’re either in on the joke, or you are the joke. And it will continue as long as there’s money to be made, or lulz to be had.
