I get them every year, never a problem.
Anyone not getting them and subsequently getting the flu is not getting any sympathy from anyone I know.
Cheap insurance.
Lost an uncle 100 years ago to it, a and a good friend’s mom died from it.
To each their own, it’s not like little kids who have no choice in the matter.
Neighbor religiously gets her flu/pneumonia shots.
She was diagnosed the day after Thanksgiving with pneumonia & spent 5 days in the hospital. Her shots were current.
“Lost an uncle 100 years ago to it...”
Yeah, that was probably during the Spanish flu epidemic. I remember we went to find a great grandparent’s grave, we knew which cemetery they were buried in but that was all. After about an hour of them poring over old records, they realized they couldn’t find a regular grave number because he was buried in a mass grave for the Spanish flu victims. Just one big corner of the cemetary with no markers and probably thousands of people buried there from 1917.
