A suspect in the Thanksgiving night shooting of an 18-year-old at the Riverchase Galleria Mall in Hoover was arrested Thursday in Georgia.
The warrant was issued Wednesday for Erron Martez Dequan Brown, 20, in the shooting. He is charged with attempted murder in the shooting of Brian Wilson, the friend of Emantic EJ Bradford Jr., 21, who was shot and killed by police after Wilson was shot. His bond is set at $125,000.
The U.S. Marshals Service confirmed to AL.com Brown has been arrested in South Fulton. Brown, who lives in north Birmingham, was quickly identified as a suspect in the Nov. 22 shooting of Brian Wilson. Authorities withheld his identity while law enforcement officers searched for him.
The U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force in Georgia was assisted by Alabamas Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Authorities said they captured Erron Martez Brown, 20, about 9:30 a.m. Thursday on Highwind Way in South Fulton.
Brown will be taken to the South Fulton Police Precinct, where he will be questioned by local and Alabama authorities. U.S. Marshals said Brown was staying at a relatives house when he was arrested.
Jefferson County District Attorney Danny Carr said while charges have been brought against Brown, the state investigation is not complete and remains ongoing. "We are confident ALEA is working to complete the investigation in a timely manner,'' Carr said. However, in light of the fact that so many people were present in the mall that evening, witness interviews are still ongoing.
Court records show Brown previously was arrested in Madison County on May 18, 2017 on a first-degree robbery charge, but that charge was dismissed.

I should think they will also charge this thug with murder also. He was responsible for Bradford getting killed.
Kinda made the photo redundant, the dead eyes notwithstanding.
Interesting thought
Well just pick me up off of the floor...
.
E.J. Bradford, Jr., good guy shot by police when they saw him with a gun.
What a fine example of a good citizen...in FERALville!
Plenty of charges, he gets a $125K bond!
I hope he at least got to vote. :’/
I’ve never understood the “attempted murder” charge. Just because someone was unsuccessful in their attempt shouldn’t mean it’s a lesser charge. The intent was the same.
All I had to do was read his name.
THAT is such a shame.
When will Barack be claiming him as his son?
We don’t know everything yet. Heard ALEA may release info tomorrow. In their hands and not Hoover’s. It’s a potential powder keg in B’ham. Jesse Jackson is jetting in for Bradford’s funeral on Saturday. Other activists are there and may stir things up.
Bit worried about my kid at college there. I advised him to blow town for the weekend.
Very sad story and I’m afraid we aren’t getting all the details.
The only benefit I can come up with is that in some circumstances, the hope of lesser penalties for attempted murder might discourage criminals from finishing off victims they had already started on.
Is there any evidence that Brown knew either Brian Wilson or EJ Bradford?
Nice Irish kid. Birmingham is loaded with them.
What did Gomer Pyle say “SURPRISE,SURPRISE,SURPRISE”!
