So, in the next three games Alabama has to play number 4 Georgia, then number 5 Oklahoma who will be number 4 at the time. Then they have to play against the winner of numbers 2 and 3 Clemson and Notre Dame. If they win out, I suggest they get to replace The Cleveland Browns in the NFL.

Denver at Cincinnati 1:00 pm CBS Paul Brown Stadium The Broncos, all of a sudden, have put themselves back in the playoff picture with quality wins against the Chargers and the Steelers in the last two weeks. The Bengals, OTOH, are going in the opposite direction and both Andy Daulton and AJ Green are out. The Denver surge continues. Broncos.

Chicago at N.Y. Giants 1:00 pm FOX MetLife Stadium Who would have thought that the Bears after blowing a big lead in Game 1 against the Packers would later be leading their division comfortably in Week 13? Not me! But Trubisky is still out I believe, and the G-Men, while losing, seems to always keep things close. However.... the Bears D will smother the Giants O and that will be the difference. Bears.

Carolina at Tampa Bay 1:00 pm FOX Raymond James Stadium Oh Carolina... what happened to you? Three weeks ago looking ready to challenge the Saints and Rams for NFC supremacy. Then three straight losses including one to the Lions. And Cam says he's playing better than ever?! Maybe he is but it would be nice to win a game before saying that. Fortunately the Bucs are in even worse straits. Panthers.

Cleveland at Houston 1:00 pm CBS NRG Stadium The rejuvenated Browns try to snap the Texans eight game winning streak. I believe the Texans pass rush will frustrate Mayfield and that will turn the game. Texans.

L.A. Rams at Detroit 1:00 pm FOX Ford Field Rams are on cruise control and have had a week off. The Lions are just too dysfunctional. Rams.

Buffalo at Miami 1:00 pm CBS Hard Rock Stadium The Bills - yes, the Bills! - are coming on. Josh Allen is playing better every week. And the Dolphins.. decimated by injuries. Bills.

Indianapolis at Jacksonville 1:00 pm CBS EverBank Field Indy and Andrew Luck are playing great at the right time. Jacksonville... well that's a whole 'nother story. Colts.

Baltimore at Atlanta 1:00 pm CBS Mercedes-Benz Stadium Whereas the Falcons are pitiful on defense they still have a potent offense and I would not be surprised to see Juio Jones have a field day. Lamar Jackson hasn't really been tested, i.e. forced to throw a lot. And as I've said, the Ravens will be 8 - 8 when all is said and done. Falcons.

Usually when you get a 97-yard scoring play, and a special teams TD, you win the game, especially when you pile up 200 more yards than your opponent. But no. As for the Chargers... Philip Rivers is coming off maybe his best game ever. And this is a big 'for real' test. Call me crazy. I like San Diego (yes, San Diego!). Chargers.

As for today's college games.... I'm too late for Texas - Oklahoma. But...
