The only time I’ve even seen CLOSE to money like that in american 20s was when I washed the carpets of a gangster on staten island.
It was circa 1984 and there vending machines and juke boxes all over the basement too.
Some big dude was doing the count and he didn’t care at all that we saw.

I will never assume anything ever again. I’m soooo ashamed of myself now for rejecting every generous offer of money that comes to me via my Yahoo e-mail Spam folder, especially from places like Nigeria, Somalia, Ethiopia and “Chad”.
