Broward County Sheriff's Office investigates deputy's #QAnon patch

The Broward County Sheriff's Office is investigating after one of its deputies was photographed wearing a #QAnon patch while meeting Vice President Mike Pence.

Broward County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Veda Coleman-Wright said the deputy -- identified as Matt Pattern in the photo -- was not authorized to wear the patch, which read "Question the Narrative."

#QAnon is a far-right conspiracy theory popular with a small group of supporters of President Donald Trump. At a July Trump rally in Tampa, some rallygoers sported #QAnon shirts and signs.

The movement has been called everything from “a deranged conspiracy cult” to a grassroots movement “about the covert battles being waged between the deep state and President Trump.”

I had to sign up for Obama care to avoid the fine.
The first year me a me my two dependent girls had to pay $43 a month.
The next year the bill came in and it was $0 so I called to question it.
I asked how to pay $0 dollars and could I put it on my Visa card or did they want a check. They finally sent the correct bill and it was $850, so I called them again. I asked if this is they annual premium or quarterly premium.
They informed me, that no, it was the MONTHLY premium!
I told them to head to their doctors and have their meds checked because you’re out of your f@%#ing minds.
This is more than my mortgage, taxes, and insurance for my house!
I’m a single father with two teenage girls.

OK, well high deductibles are a feature of the affordable ACA plans. I have a high deductible HSA plan. My contributions to the HSA will cover the deductible if I get sick, otherwise they roll over to next year. So, i am good with that. My problem is with the subsidies. If you make less than 4X poverty level, you get a very generous subsidy. You make one buck over that, they disappear entirely and you get a $10k bill from the IRS. A lot of small operators get burned by that and the MSM has nothing to say about it because you can’t speak ill of King Barack.

Absolutely correct. I have no sympathy for a police officer wearing a patch signifying he is a Cult member of any cult. He should be fired for exercizing bad judgment if nothing else. He apparently welcomes the negative attention as well. None of these traits suggest the public will be losing a good man.

No conservative “let it happen.” It would take the power of an NRA or Judicial Watch to reverse any of this unfairness and it would happen on a case by case and very expensive basis.

I understand what you are dealing with since I am retired from the government. I have decades of experience with this stuff. It hasn’t always been this way but has degraded a little year after year due to our moral decline. We have failed to teach our young people of our history, about the extreme sacrifices of our ancestors and our Christian Godly heritage. This has translated into the destructive voting patterns that we see today. The comfortable choice to go down the Marxist road seems like a no-brainer to someone with no moral compass. Those who have something to lose stand by and let it happen, expecting legal representatives to put a halt to it. But, they don’t. Before long, we live in a country that doesn’t even resemble the one we were born in. Yes, we stood and continue to stand by, letting it happen because we have jobs, retirements and businesses to lose.

Deputies, soldiers, police officers and others whose position requires a uniform don’t have the liberty of adding (or deleting) patches from those uniforms, and for very good reasons. They are to enforce the law without favor or prejudice, not make personal political statements. Hard to imagine why this deputy would have adorned his uniform, knowing the rules of his office.

You need to check if your MAGI is above or below 4X poverty line for your family situation. That $43 is a subsidized rate, and the $850 is the unsubsidized rate. $1 above that 4X poverty line will make the difference between the two. If your income is going to be below, then you can submit a pay stub or something and they will reinstate the subsidy. It pays to read up on this and understand how it works. Unfortunately, if you are right in that 4X area, the system severely penalizes work.

Finally got a job that provides health insurance.
I had insurance at my job, however, with Obamacare they gave us $ and sent us to the exchange saving a bunch of money.
Then we got hammered when the premiums went up.
This was a scam from the get go and they got screwed in the midterms for it. The government needs to return to its purpose of collecting taxes and providing national defense.

Love that post.

DS tactic: When you can’t argue on the merits, you can’t argue with facts, then attack the messenger.

>> Life is too short to spend time with people who can’t keep their hatred from spoiling things.

100% agree.

But it *may* happen that in the coming months as more truth is revealed, some of those who have been blind will begin to see. If he was a good friend, the friendship may be salvageable at a later date if/when he learns the truth.

Wow, you are paying for this trip & your long time friend feels free to insult you??? I have never seen people so unhinged in my life. My elderly, bleeding heart liberal mom will try & bait me, but I know better ; ) My brother is very liberal, but extremely reasonable & we can talk with no problem.

Sorry about that whole experience, just really sad.
