Bush family wants funeral that avoids anti-Trump sentiment: report

Shouldn't they have thought about that for the past three years of sniping, posturing and marginalizing?

The corrupt media cannot help themselves, they are 24/7 continuous hate filled anti-Trump automatons.

Pretty damned cynical of the Bush tribe. They have all played in the Trump bashing cesspool and now they don’t want their pappy’s funeral to be sidetracked by it.

Such rhetoric was prominent in services for the late Sen. John McCain three months ago.

Fitting for McCain, but disgusting.

Why would the subject even come up?

Joy and a bunch of others are making good money and getting to show off at the same time. End of story.

The naive Bush family is ignoring that the Left will crash the funeral in some way and present some form of anti-Trump stunts for the cameras; no matter how much they try to control it by selecting the speakers or anything else. The Left is ALWAYS 100% political 24/7/365; notice they even turn the funerals of their own politicians into some part of their constant political campaign.

I am happy to hear of the return to civility by the Bush family - they slipped a bit when Jeb! got his ass kicked by Trump.

I am hopeful that maybe, just maybe, the Bushes are reading the tea leaves and have figured out that Trump is not going away, and that their best move is to join a winner (albeit a bit late, but better than never if it is true). Sometimes in politics, like in real life, it takes a funeral to start people on the path toward getting along again. We will need it, because THE central goal of every Republican MUST be to defeat the Dems in 2020. We need the breathing room of another 4 years of Trump, most especially his continued filling of judicial vacancies.

What those idiots did with McCain completely overshadowed everything. Their problems with Trump took focus away. With McCain I guess that’s a victory. But apparently the Bush family sure doesn’t want this funeral to be about Trump.

I hope the @sswipe usual suspects honor the wishes of the Bush family—but I’m not holding my breath.

Trump will be perfectly comfortable in his own skin, as usual. It’s the other bitter loser ex-Presidents who will be uncomfortable. They’re still in shock that Trump was elected and that he’s keeping so many campaign promises. How DARE an “amateur” be so successful!

Trump is a true profile in courage and leadership. He makes the ex-POTUSES look weak and weaselly in comparison.

Didn’t W get up at McCains funeral with veiled insults at Trump? Vaguely remember reading that because I had the TV OFF all that week.

The Bushes could be trying to protect George P’s political future by starting to play nice to Trump.

The Bush family has disappointed me greatly in the past several years. I refuse to watch any of the coverage. They are as dead to me as the clintbillies and obama.
